100% cpu usage. norton says no virus. any help would be nice, thanks

HI im new to this but maybe some one can help me. my media player started updating all these 0:01 long WAV files i think they are system sounds and it wont stop i tryed to delete the whole album but it says that i need trusted installer permission. when i try to change permission it wont let me its all gryed out i tryed everthing i could think of. please help because ive had to disable media player to get it to stop over running my CPU useage. ive tryed to do system restore but it was still there. to make things worse the file unknowingly got burned to a CD now its on my friends computer. has anyone ever heard of this and can you help!!!!! PLEASE!! their is that better moderator.

In your media library did you select the entirety of C: drive as a folder?

well it seems to be fine now except for the cpu useage at 100% of one processor some times so thanks for the help. any idea why im useing so much of my cpu??

I'm sure I posted in a thread with a link, did you delete the thread?

Have you checked the MSCONFIG, and checked which programs are running at startup within the Startup tab?
