Solved how to upgrade to windows 7 home premium

i had windows 7 home premium 64 bit(original) on my laptop but then someone installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bits(pirated) i want my original windows back and i just have the product key written on the back of my laptop
plzzzz help me ASAP...

What make of notebook? It should have a Restore partition on the drive. It should of also had some type of utility to create a set of system disks but that may be gone now.

In any event you can download the correct version from My Digital Life website and use your key on that sticker to reinstall.

Well it seam like that 7 ultimate 32 bits(pirated) is still be passed around from border to border. But anyway rahul1992 if you have a COA on your computer and follow derekimo's post # 3 you should end up with a working legal Windows 7 computer.

i was having problem of memory dump recently so someone said "its becoz u r using 64 bit"....thats why he installed this 32 bit version.

Then it was especially idiotic to install a pirated version just to get 32 bit, since you're entitled to use either 32- or 64-bit with the Home Premium Key on your COA sticker attached to the machine.

The consolation is that you will get and maintain a perfect install if you follow the steps in the tutorial. Ask back if you have any questions, and keep criminals away from your PC.

I suggest you never listen to that person again when it concerns computers, Operating System for computers, Memory management for computers and for the software installed on computers.
He clearly knows nothing about any of the above. And what he may know will only get him and anyone he tries to help into trouble, as you have found out.

Is your system a Dell computer? If it is it may work or it may not. But if your system originally came with Win 7 Home Premium then even if it does work you are in violation of the License. As that system is only licensed for 7 Home Premium.

So no one here can help you with this as it goes against the forum rules.

but coming of that dvd with a different laptop doesn't matter???
i was reading that it has something to do with OEM....
i know i m asking too much but i don't know much about this stuff...

No it doesn't matter with Dell OS DVDs. They are only tied to Dell computers not to any one model of Dell computers. One disc fits, works on, all Dell computers.

If it has SP1. Read the label.

Otherwise if you are following the tutorial to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 you should have seen that the latest official installer is provided in the first step.
