Crashing computer when starting up any game bluescreen 6.1.7601.2.1.0.

I am kind of a newb so if this is something stupid would love to know how to fix this. when i try to start this game it automaticaly crashes and reboots without saying anything. When it boots back up it says the error code 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 and says its bluescreen which I've done research on and heard is quite bad. I do believe though that my ram (ddr3) may be out or w/e just really low and slow i only have 4 gigs and I do try alot of new stuff. if you need any info lemme know please help

Do you think it could be my ram? I'm thinking about replacing it because its running low and laggin alot

It may be RAM, it may be the graphics card, it may be the motherboard itself, or iit may be the power supply. Without going through the process, it is difficult to say which component of the hardware is causing the crashes actually.

I tried the furmark test for a bout 30 minutes, besides it lagging some it all was fine. I'm trying the prime95 test now hope it helps and shows me whats wrong, I'll leave it going for 6 hours i suppose

Then try replacing parts.
Then look up the versions of your BIOS to see what changes were done.

Recently it was found (here: BSOD Stop 0x00000101 and Stop 0x0000009c ) that a wipe and reinstall of Windows fixed a STOP 0x101 problem. I'd have to recommend at least running SFC.EXE /SCANNOW on any PC that has this problem (simply because it's too easy easy to do and it may fix things). Thanks to writhziden for pointing this out!

well i tried updating my bios and now my computer wont even start so I'm gonna try to find my windows seven disk and reinstall it all

That reinstallation is also a part of it ... but it is bad that you are forced to do it
