Outlook.com vs. WLM when "send link as" or "send page as" is clicked

I have a W7 32bit laptop and I do not have MS Office installed. I have been using Hotmail until a couple weeks ago when I was "converted" to outlook.com email - which I like OK. When I'm using a browser - IE9 in this case - and when I click on "send link as" or "send page as", it launches Windows Live Mail and puts me in a WLM output email. I would instead like it to launch me into outlook.com and an outlook.com output email. How can I do this - or can't it be done at all?

The solution you posted references a downloadable utility that is for Vista only. It will not run on Windows 7 at all. What now?

I have had windows outlook express email on windows 7 ultimate about a month ago
and it work find for me. I'm not sure if outlook.com has anything to do with outlook
express email though.
Come to think about it i had no idea about outlook.com didnt even know it exist until now...

I have had windows outlook express email on windows 7 ultimate...

"Outlook Express" came with IE on XP and earlier versions of Windows. On Vista, "Windows Mail" took its place. On Windows 7 the mail program is "Windows Live Mail" and is available through the "Windows Live Essentials" package. If you were able to get Outlook Express to run on Windows 7 please let us know how you accomplished that.

[Outlook.com is web (browser) based email which is the current name for Hotmail.com. Neither is an email program that would be installed on a PC; instead they should be thought of as an email service available through a website or used with an email program like Windows Live Mail as one of the email accounts.]
