hi,

I have Windows 7 and want a virtual machine to test different operating systems. I can't install VirtualBox because it doesn't support Win7, Virtual PC doesn't either :(.

I even tried the new Virtual PC RC released today but that only seems to want to install XP in the VM.

Help! I need a virtual machine software!

Thanks, :D

Blessed.

Vbox does indeed support Windows 7. I am using it right now. Get the latest version.

Really? I tried to install Vbox 3.0.3 but got an installation error. I downloaded it again and same problem 2 days ago. I see it's up to version 3.0.4 now. Maybe it will work now. Thanks. Will report back in a few minutes. :D

Try installing it in Vista compatibility mode if you need too.

Whats the error message?

Ok I downloaded and installed VirtualBox 3.0.4 and it works perfect now! It must have been a bug in version 3.0.3. The error message was about some files missing needed for installation. Can't remember any more sorry.

I now have a new problem! I installed Windows Virtual PC RC but I can't get rid of it! It's not in "Programs and Features". I need to get rid of it please help! :(
