hello, i'm having a overheating problem with my cpu, it's an i7 920 with 2.67Ghz.
My computer is auto shutdown soon as my cpu reaches 70ºc.

Should i change my auto shutdown temp?
How do i do that at the P6T Bios? (since i can't find that options at the hardware monitor).
And what is the max temp of my CPU? (i readed that it's 100ºc, but i'm not sure about that)

What is this over hearting you speak of?

just kidding.
That chip is old enough that I'm guessing the system is not brand new.
I would say it's in desperate need of a cleaning and you need to check that the cpu heatsink fan is in fact still working.
IF something is going on in there raising the shutdown temp is just going to have it running even hotter.

Don't raise the shutdown temp. That will only end up frying your CPU. Completely fill out your System Specs in the lower left of your message. This will let everyone know about you PC and more help can be given.
