Hi, I'm new here and i just wanted some advice here; (purpose specific)

I have 4 hdds
2x 7200rpm
2x 5400rpm

I was planning / or i am planning to install a fresh un-altered copy of windows 7 on the 5400rpm drives (will be in raid 0 i believe) and the other 2 drives , i would use them for applications and games, the reason is because i want to get the most out of my hard drives in terms of space and reliability so that when in the future one of my hdds die i wont go crazy with the amount of stuff i would have to back up, so i want to leave the OS+ on the clear.

What do you guys think?
I've performed various tests on all my hard drives and everything seems to be just fine
I hear no strange noises (clicking) from them & my current temperatures are fine 28c-46c

RAID 0 is not reliable. If may be faster then standard setup but if one drive fails the system, OS, is GONE.

Put a SSD in the system and install Windows to that.

How about Raid 1 ( sorry i had the raid 0 stuff wrong ) , for my understanding is just making a replica of the other drive, meanwhile if one drive fails ill have the other one.

This isnt for your motherboard, but it will help you understand about raid.
