Hello guys,
i have this problem with my laptop.
After working a while on my laptop (duration differs from a few seconds to few minutes to few hours) after which the laptop screen goes blank/black suddenly and restarts itself with starting options such as:
start windows in safe mode
satrt windows in safe mode with networking
start windows form last best known configuration
and
Start windows normally.

Even after deleting all the data from the computer and installing the Windows 7 again from scrap...the same problem persist. Wonder what the solution would be.

Is the Hard disk faulty or any other Hardware or is some software is playing the mischief here ???!!!!

Please help!! thanks.

Try booting in regular safe mode and run a virus scan!

Also, does it always restart itself into those options or does it let you use your computer as normal sometimes?

Okay as far as I know (don't take my word for it) you may have a bad motherboard.. I had this exact issue once a couple of years ago and replacing my motherboard seemed to have fixed my problem.

I would tell you how I came to that conclusion but I had a friend diagnose that for me so..

Can you tell me how old your motherboard is? Also check inside your computer case on your motherboard and see if you have any RED led's shining. They should normally be green.

If it's too much of a hassle don't do that but it may really be your motherboard causing this problem, I will do some research and get back to you

Hey I found a thread where somebody explains how to diagnose what your problem is!

Read the answers, follow up the procedures and post with results!

Why does my PC keep restarting itself?

edit; definetaly sounds like a hardware problem though, just like mine was. I will try helping you figure out what part it is exactly

Hey before you do that, make sure you have installed all your drivers after reformatting the laptop! The problem could be that your video card driver isn't there to support a boot.

edit; although if you only get rebooted after some time it may be your RAM more likely.. sorry I'm not so sure because I'm not a professional but I hope you work it out! Good luck!
