looking good boogie :D it looks spotlessly clean too nice1.

if i was you though i would switch the stereo and your case around as your case will suck loads of dust in down there. i usd to keep mine low untill the lads here spotted it lol. i've noticed the difference since raising it though

Thanks ganjiry :D oh yes i agree it catches alot of dust beneath the rig but i clean it with vacuum cleaner :D actually i'm planning to get or custom build a spacious good looking flat computer desk on which i'll finally get rid of my more than 17 years old kenwood stereo system and will get a new decent 5.1 channel system and place the pc on the table..

Boogieboy, that looks very good, liking the blue lights allot. Welldone mate!

As it arrived from NCIX. Poor cable management at the moment which was too be expected, I'll probably upgrade to a Corsair 650d in the future as well as a Corsair cooler, but for now this will suffice. Till then I'm not too worried about cable management as the case has no viewing windows and no lights. I may still route the bulk of the unused cabling under that little step it's sitting on and putting a cover plate on the front.

Thanks guys, yes I love it and it rocks.

How involved is removing all the parts to paint inside the case? I had ncix build simply for warranty purposes but I think if I mark A->A, B->B I think it's a relatively simple task. I do work on aircraft after all, I think got this! Just want to make sure there's nothing unexpected I'll encounter. For simplicities sake, is it safe to leave the heatsink installed?

clgrnt- Remove the golden pins for the motherboard, or tape over it, and just use the normal tricks when painting(sanding, water, paint, leave a week, paint ext) and make sure the paint is heat proof or can withstand high temps. I painted my dvd drive in my current build, and it still looks as it did the first time, just take your time.

Understood, I'll look into that more and make the switch!

I just got done sorting out some stuff, firstly the cabling. I couldn't do much more did I want to go overboard. Just hid some of the extra cabling from the PSU. Short of a new case or a modular I'm not going to put in huge efforts to only see moderate results. That combined with an unpainted case, not worth it right now.

The other was the top vent. I don't have a fan installed so no positive pressure keeping stuff out. It's also under a desk so being a horizontal surface a lot of shit was going in so voila, sheet air filter material to keep the nasty out. It flows well, and the temperature increase if any would be so small I'm not at all concerned.

nice1 :D i'm the same mate, if u look after your stuff it not only stays looking good but when u change/ upgrade its easier to sell the old.
i always keep the boxes from components n stuff as ts easier to sell them with it, my mrs does'nt seem impressed tho :D

as for building a desk. as long as u plan ahead and take your time pretty much anythin is accomplishable. definately makes life easier with tools tho ;)
good luck
