Just a quick question about Flash in IE10 for Windows 7. Does it use the built in Flash from MS or the same Flash as IE9? Also does it replace IE9 and if so then should Flash for IE9 be removed before installing IE10. Doing my Windows 8 updates and backup but will boot to Windows 7 in a short time and though I would ask.

To answer my own question. IE10 in Windows 7 does NOT use the built in Flash like IE10 in Windows 8. Maybe this will change in final release or maybe it's just a Windows 8 feature.

Since you are dual booting both 32 bit & 64 bit versions of Window 7 you can use the "other download options" just below the download button to download either the 32 or 64 bit versions of IE 10 RP.

to answer your 2nd question yes IE 9 will be removed and upgraded to IE 10 but can be restored again through - Control Panel > Program & Features > View installed updates then uninstalling the "Windows Internet Explorer 10" update, the spelling package and other updates will also be removed automatically upon restart.

Just installed it and like it thus far.

The spell check feature is a really nice feature to have as I often copy my text to word to check for spelling, than past back to the forum. Now I may be able to eliminate that extra step, provided I can get rid myself of this habit

Anyway no issues noted yet, but I'm sure something may pop up seeing that this is the preview version. On the other hand, I'm sure lots of issues have been ironed out under Windows 8 already.

And yeah, it does seem faster than IE9.

better install SP1 otherwise you will continue getting windows updates thousand times for the same software, whatever nightly and alpha beta gama delta charlie, they build. I think I have already got many GBs of updates for silverlight and ie through windows updates, that is more bandwidth than the size of actual install.

I am really amazed what they are doing in silverlight. even if I check updates every 4 hours, there is a new update for silverlight available there.

Been using ie10 for two days so far on a laptop and a desktop. Runs really well, pretty fast and more responsive then the current firefox release on my machine and that's that I use to be a big firefox fan. Was using Opera for a while but it bugs up on some sites I visit, so as of right now at the moment. I'm going to be using IE10 unless firefox fixes there issues or I find something better. Don't plan on using chrome since I just dislike the UI used for it.

I had to install SP1 before trying out IE10 which is quite good, but it looks like IE9 a bit.

IE10 is more faster then FireFire, that is what is startling. I just may consider switching, problem is all my firefox add-ons, I'm use to. Microsoft may have finally done it.

I'm confused, I need a little help here. Before, different architectural versions of IE are explicit as in, 64-bit IE would run a 64-bit IE process, and 32-bit IE would run a 32-bit process. Now, no matter what version I use, both seem to launch both a 64-bit and 32-bit process for the same instance. So, if I open the iexplorer on the 64-bit Program Files, am I really launching a 64-bit version or it doesn't matter now?
