Is anyone using these drivers as simple sata drivers in AHCI mode?
On W7 x64 ult., I am using version 11.1.x on a P55 chipset (Series 5/3400 sata ahci controller) with an SSD and a regular "spinner" (Samsung F3).
Yesterday I, confidently, upgraded to the 11.6.x version and on reboot the system froze solid after the Win7 logo ... ???
No solution to get out of this death loop other than to restore from a system image. (I use ATIH)
Any opinions here? Release notes claim that it should be fit for the controller mentioned.
TIA.

The "Win7dvd" (which is on an usb stick in my case) cannot repair the installation. Probably it is not finding the device anymore?
