But maybe I'm having a senior moment...
Dell Inspiron 570 - 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
Most tellingly, when I attempted an ipconfig /release it would not release.
But either I don't know what to do next, or I'm having a senior moment (wait didn't I already say that?)
Dell Inspiron 570 - 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
- Wired Auto Config is running.
- LAN settings are to automatically detect settings
- Ipconfig displays a valid IP address.
- Have run netsh winsock reset.
- Have unplugged and reconnected the modem.
- Have contacted the ISP and had them check the modem connection from their end.
- Have tried with clean boot and safe mode with networking.
- Have gone into Device Mgr and uninstalled the network driver and watched it reinstall on reboot.
- Network card area on the back of the tower is lit.
