I recommend you to upgrade to lastest version!
In my experience, 9 times out of 10 a BSOD is caused by a faulty driver. I would follow visy199s' advice and get the latest version, and by default, the latest drivers. I would be interested in your results.... please keep us informed..

How does one upgrade to other Beta OSs, this is my first time and I thought once you installed one you had to stick with it.
If that is possible, where do I get it and is it really worth it? I mean, aside from this random BSOD hiccups, this OS has been super fast and stable at everything I have throwned at it.
I'm not sure if you mean you don't have Kaspersky? Does it mean you have NO anti virus program? If so, that migth be the problem.
I do have an Anti Virus (Avast 4.8) and Anti Spyware (MalwareBytes) but Win 7 keep insisting that one of the errors it finds is that Kasperski was not installed correctly and Re-Installing it might fix the issue. Well, I have never used Kasperski in my life, didn't know what it was or do until I looked it up so I thought it was part of Win 7 OS, like it came as a pre trial thing or something of that nature, otherwise, why would Win 7 be telling me I need to reinstall?
The tools that are integrated into the OS potentially cause the most problems. I recently installed a benchmark tool that just froze my PC whenever I started it.

I installed some Vista add-ons (wallpapers or themes, can't really remember now) and it made a complete mess out of it.
It looks like you need to reinstall anyway, the RC or the RTM. but since you have Vista, why don't wait till October to isntall the real deal (unless installing OS is kind of a hobby of yours)
No, not really, this is the first time ever that I dual boot. Well, it started with XP & Vista but it was more because of the reservations I had with Vista. Once I got Vista going I decided to test Win 7 reading that it was much faster than Vista and coincided with the fact that I was selling my rig and building this one so I had to do a clean install anyways.
To tell you the truth, if the RC would not expire in 3/2010 I'd keep it till my HDD dies. People say the 7600 are even better. Not sure how you can improve 100% stable and fast, though.
This is true and the only reason why I have my reservations and/or have been skeptical to nuke it and try the RTM or others.
AstaLaVista: did you install any other drivers? In my experience W7 comes with all drivers you need. I know, XP and vista really required additional drivers, but W7 is superior
Maybe in some cases you want the most up to date nVidia or Ati driver (they now also have W7 certified ones) or some wireless device makes problems.
But it is possible that when you install the hardware manufacturers' drivers you actually make it worse since they might not W7 certified (and W7 still was under development until recently, so the driver programmers were shooting arrows into the dark). Install it without hardware drivers, apply all W7 updates. Only install drivers for devices that don't work with W7 drivers, and try to get W7 drivers from the hardware manufacturer.
As I said, works for me with the RC. Sometimes doing too much improvements (fanciest drivers, registry cleaning..) makes it worse.
Nope, only drivers I have upgrade are the Monitor, Sound & Video and only because of the BSOD's. I usually leave the drivers alone until I suffer a problem or issue... I used to switch to new ones everytime there was one but not anymore.
Usually, the latest drivers will fix the problem... unless the latest drivers are the problem!
There has been a rash of nVidia-related BSODs lately. They are hit-or-miss... some folks have no trouble, others crash all of the time. There's quite a bit of chatter on the OC and gaming sites about this.
Did you recently update your video card drivers? That could be the problem.
Well, I think I got a handle on the situaltion. Problem is that I can't really put my finger on the culprit or what fixed it but I'll let you guys know what I did in hopes that it helps others.
I came home and decided to nuke all my drivers, hell, I was going for broke... I was ALL IN
Anyways, before attempting this, I went to each manufacturer and downloaded all their latest drivers and copy them to a safe location.
I proceed to uninstall the Chipset drivers first, I did not find anything on the Control Panel so I figured this could be the problem right there. I had never install drivers because Win 7 installed the latest ones when I built the rig. Then, the Video along with the PhysX drivers were uninstalled... those with ATI need not apply with PhysX drivers I think
Restarted into SAFE MODE and ran CCleaner, I didn't care, again... I was going for Broke anyways.
Once that was over, proceeded to start the rig again and installed the new chipset drivers, then the Video drivers and lastly, the Monitor driver.
The ladder one could have also given me fits since I din't uninstalled it but it had the Generic PnP driver installed and this has always gave me problems... but it was with Vista more so than Win 7.
I can't say I am 100% sure that I am clear but last night, I browse the Internet and played for about 2 hrs BSOD Free. I hope that it will be like that for a while longer.
Now, if you guys have the same issues, do what I did but take some time and do 1 install/uninstall at a time since, sometimes, doing it all at the same times causes more negative effects than positive... I just got lucky this time around
