How do I delete windows 7 off of my old HDD?

I got a new SSD and I was able to migrate my OS to my new SSD. I was able to boot up from the SSD and everything (I pulled out my HDD and it booted off my SSD). Now, the problem is that I have a copy of Windows 7 on my old HDD and I can't get it off because of permissions issues (i'm running as admin).

Woah, that was a fast reply! And thanks brianzion. The SSD and the HDD both show up on my computer. One of my other problems was that for some reason after the migration, my C: drive switched with my f: drive. Originally my C: drive was the HDD and my f: drive was the SSD, now it's switched. So, I don't know how i'm going to transfer my games and stuff. To answer your question, I'm afraid to re-format my f: drive because that's where my games were originally installed. (right now their files are all in an external hard drive)

Well installed programs have a lot of registry entries with the installed location linked to it. to just copy pasting doesn't work for games and other apps.

I would say, just uninstall them from the current drive and install them to a new one. Just take a backup of the saved games (for games) and copy them to the location of the new installer.

That is the only way i know of

Do you think I could change the drive letters back to the way they were? I already changed the boot order to having my SSD first. Like, If i were to change my ssd back to f and my hdd back to c, would that mess anything up? Cause if i was able to do that, then i could just move my games back to the c folder and everything should read correctly. Basically, will changing the drive letters back mess with the boot up or anything? Does the computer have to boot from drive "c"?

Don't muck around with the drive letters if you want your system to continue operating. What is the drive letter problem anyhow ?? Whether you move something from F to C or from C to F is the same thing.

And your games you have to reinstall. Only data files can be transferred.

Crap, alright. I'm gonna have to reinstall steam too then. I just moved the whole folder over to an external, but it was orginially installed on the c: drive. Sadly my new c drive (the SSD) is too small to hold the 200Gb of games.
