I want to install Windows 8 on my computer without dual booting windows 7. However, how would I reinstall windows 7? no windows disc was given when I bought the computer.

Which one do i create in order to reinstall windows 7 in the future? system image or system repair disc?

I already created a factory default disc and a drivers and apps disc using Acer's program. However, I do not know if I can actually reinstall windows 7 once I fully wipe the HDD and install windows 8.

You can down an iso Windows 7 from THIS site. Download the exact same version that you have now - e.g. if you have Win 7 Home 64 bit then download that version. You will have to create an iso DVD from the downloaded file. If you don't have a CD/DVD burning program that will create an iso dis, download the free (and popular) Imgburn which will create the iso DVD. You can use the Acer provided Windows 7 Product Key to install Win 7.
The Official ImgBurn Website

Even if you aren't planning to reinstall Win 7, download and create the Win 7 disc anyway - you never know.

The easiest way to reinstall is when you use the recovery partition. But if you made an image of your system (best on a regular basis), that is even easier.

Yes, the key on your COA label. Those are the same iso files, they have just referred to them differently and both come from Digital River.

You'd likely need to use the Acer Restore disks if you reinstall to C as Recovery may not run, but you can save it to try so you have dual methods to restore to Factory Condition.

But you'll get a much cleaner install without the bloatware corruption if you instead Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

In addition here's how to Clean Install with Windows 8 Upgrade

Another thing you can do is keep Win7, shrink it in Disk Mgmt to create a New partition then either mark the 8 target partition Active before install so it doesn't configure a Dual Boot, or let it configure a Dual Boot and then hide it by setting the Boot menu timeout to 0. Then you have Win7 waiting in the wings if you decide Win8 is not for you.
