BSOD playing game and surfing net, error 7f recently c4

hello everyone,

just a little background on my pc, ive just recently built it, brand new parts are the cpu, mobo and ram. everything else (HD,casing,vid card etc) was reused. The parts, except the HD, are not even 1 year old. Coming from a pentium 4 of long ago i dont even know which generation, this rig is quite a step up and theres a lot i have to get used to.

anyway recently ive been playing mechwarrior online and it sometimes BSODs me while loading, either the menus or the game itself. Sometimes while surfing the net, but mostly while gaming. temps were all ok and im not OCing. I have latest drivers from Nvidia and intel and evga and asus installed.

Most of the time i opened up the dump file and i got the STOP bugcheck 7f (with the first param 08 double fault)
probably caused by : unknown image

but the most recent one came up with with 0xc4_91 code...

and now im completely baffled, being a noob and all...

it was crashing before windows loaded up, what im doing now;
-disabled verifier
-ran sfc and repaired some files
-ive just updated my bios (re-done it)
-i found my bios settings were reset to something ridiculous; that was re-configured

-about to enable verifier again and gonna see what happens

about to run out of tricks here haha!

Before doing anything else, uninstall MagicISO. Then Uninstall AVG and install Microsoft Security Essentials

Is it still troubling after doing these? Let us know.

wow that really did it. pretty much smoothed out the laggy graphics i had going on before but didnt notice!
it stopped crashing for now too haha!...should i still do the verifier test though?

Not needed now. Use the computer normally. If it crashes again on the normal usage, let us know.

uh oh it came back...this time bugcheck 0xc4_91
it was running fine till now

was loading the game but before the menu came up blue screened for just a fraction of a second before resetting

ive attached the minidumps.

anyone helping really just a big thank you in advance

Saying again, for the third time, .... please disable driver verifier. You dont need it right now. If it is needed anyhow, we will suggest you.

verifiers now doublechecked off

ive been trying to induce another bsod
always happens when starting the game after its done loading.

anyways it would always hang for abit (the game not windows) then recover with the "display driver stopped working and recovered"
it wouldnt bsod everytime though

the last time it crashed it didnt generate a minidump i swear i had it turned on and now again doublechecked its on and ATM trying to bsod this thing

That is which dump I have tested. Obviously the latest one in the supplied zip.

And, display "driver has stopped working and now recovered" is a very known situation. First try to update the driver. If the updated driver also not able to recover the situation, change the GPU; coz it is a hardware problem in most of the cases.

ok i have restored my system to somewhere around a week after i built this thing, havent really tried anything since my last post i had to go away for work...but i do know it still doesnt load the graphics properly so its a matter of time it crashes

lucid mvp is now off coz it wont turn on saying "wrong gpu config"

im trying to get my hands on a friends vid card, ill post back the results
