hi there,
after sometime i decided to check out my windows registry, so i typed regedit and went in. and to my dismay, i could find several folders(or are what are they?) of programs i uninstalled some long time ago. prominently appearing among them were visual studios that i had installed some time back but later uninstalled. they include the visual studio c++ 2010, visual studio 2012 Express edition. and some other programs also, and i noticed that these folders are huge and I'm wondering if they are not slowing down my PC. so my question is, how do i deal with them safely, i haven't touched them yet..

Not unusual obby I have done this loads of times with bloatware Norton / Symantec being the real PITA one I just right click on the reg entry I find and click delete. This is quite handy when removing crap like the AVG add on stuff that you think is removed by uninstall but the reg bits linger.

But don't go on what I say playing in there can be quite dodgy unless you are sure of what you are deleting - I always open them out before deleting to make sure something else is not hiding in the sub entries. Click on the entry and it will open downwards like things do in C: drive and its folders.

Just be CAREFUL.

thanks, i am a bit concerned since these visual studio stuff comes from MS and maybe they alter so many things...any further care i should take?

Use Ccleaner to clean up the registry it`s one of the safest tools there is.

CCleaner - Download

Just Google it mate thats what I do it will tell you where and let you see who the stuff is made up by. Tha visual studio is referring to Microsoft but like I said open the folder out by clicking on it see my pic.

Yes AddRAM I have done that mate but it still leaves those fragments some of it is really stubborn even with Revo doing it.
