Graphics cards get so hot when playing games.

Some games that I play that are quite graphically intense causes my Graphics card to hit 80 degrees Celsius and causes my computer to shutdown and restart. My specs are i7 2600, GTX 560Ti, 16GB ram. I've recently bought 2 fans for my computer one for my CPU and one mounted on the side of my case blowing air into my graphics card. I've bought the fans and I'm not sure how else to cool down my Graphics card. Maybe a new graphics card may help, but I'm not sure if that is the entire problem.

Is your gpu fan set on auto? Download and install MSI Afterburner and set a custom fan profile so that the fan speed ramps up as your temperatures go up.

My exact same card runs 80F at idle, which is 28C. You might try installing Asus Smart doctor which gives options to change fan speed etc, also has overheat protection. Personally I find the auto control options suits fine. I play many of the latest GPU demanding games.
How restricted is the cards air intake?

My card runs at 47C idle. I have done the system specs. And downloading MSI Afterburner at the moment! Thankyou for the replies :D

What do you mean by restricted air intake? because of the case and the motherboard positioning, the PSU is at the bottom and the fan is facing up, and the graphic cards fan is facing down. So pretty much there facing each other : /

Okay I've installed MSI Afterburner and created a custom file for my graphics cards fan, and the temperature has been reduced by 18C stable at 62C while playing a game. Do i need to run MSI Afterburner everytime I start up my computer or does it do it automatically?

Also I have installed ASUS smart doctor, but it won't work with my graphics card cause its not made by ASUS D:

Any chance you can break it down a little Maxie??? :D

So I was just playing world of warcraft, around 10minutes in without my computer restarting. The screen goes black and then the monitor displays a no signal sign. I've checked all the power cords and connections and nothing seems to wrong.

No offense, but your power supply is borderline... useless..
I tried looking for information about them, and i was unable to find any reputable reviews, I even saw the power supplies claim to be 80 plus certified, and read quickly that the manufacterer stamps a generic 80 on the PSU.

I would purchase one that could be able to support the card properly.

When you open up "settings", there is a box there to "start with windows". Check that and you are good to go. ;)

Any power supply that Boast a whooping 850 w 80 + plus certifacation would no way in hell be this cheap

I got my AX850 for 179.00 originaly 200.00 and i know it should atleast cost you 120 +

That Supply probably doesn't put out what it has written and it is probably overheating along with the cards

That makes me feel sorry about myself for being close to spending 159.99 on a 560Watt seasonic 80+ Gold PSU.

Don't feel bad it is what deal i happen to catch at the time and Seasonics are great quality so no need to feel ashamed

I like the fact you stated how much a Quality PSU will cost versus non Quality and mislead information that was seen with the Ops PSU

As Erick and Solarstarshines have posted. A quality 850W power supply should cost a lot more. Mind cost me $190.00
A quality power supply is a must. Their may be other problems with the computer but finding them comes after installing a quality power supply.
