how can i restrict department access share folder in server?

how can i restrict user from finance department to access share folder in server? just that particular department. can anyone advise me with steps? what i know i can set in the permission 1by1. but the department has 100 user. is there anyway to actually set to restrict this 100 user from accessing the share folder in the server?

How it works in my company is that the rights are provided on the designation/department and not on the user.
For e.g. You would want to restrict rights on the finance dept by accessing any folder in the server. This will automatically restrict all the "users" who feature under Finance Dept.
I guess its best to talk to your company's IT team to get this sorted.

How can i do that as i new in IT possible to list down the steps what i should do ? is it need to do some setting on active directory ? Because i required to set this rights for them i still new in this. possible to guide me along ?
