wont send or receive but if i close the program open it and click the okays multiple times then it sends and receives but prompts me for each of the three email accounts i have maybe once in ten tries i get to send and receive

dont know why it isnt working i think i clicked work offline once by accident

is there a registry entry i can toggle?

wont go online

sorry found the solution

in IE there is a checkbox that was click work offline have no idea how it got that way as i use Firefox

perhaps in inadvertently clicking work offline in the email program that set the checkmark in IE only going into IE changes that.

whatever I seem to be okay now

I'm having the same problem. Unknowingly clicked "Work Offline" and now I'm stuck in that mode despite responding positively to prompts to "Go Online".

Where is this checkbox you reference?

don't know why it worked

I was having trouble getting live mail to go online, too. I was trying to follow the suggestions above, but couldn't find many of the menu options in IE. I made no changes at all but after I closed IE live mail went online. I wish I knew what happened but I'm guessing I never will.......

Work offline/online menu resides within Tools sub menu in Command Bar (below ie Menu and Bing bar). You can view it via View > Toolbars > Command bar. Make sure Command bar is checked.

Thanks, ceepee3

That was very helpful. I didn't realize that I wasn't seeing my tool bar. I haven't used IE much for a couple of upgrades. Hopefully I'll remember this next time I have trouble.
