Thanks LF. That clears it up. Should go to the RV forums, but I have no RV any more. In my younger days I had 4 trailers and 4 motorhomes (at different tims of course). Always wanted an Airstream, but they were always too expensive.

I am still lost. What is actually meant by 'DW'. Can someone fill in a poor German that struggles with the English abbreviations.

It depends on who is using it but, usually, it means Dear Wife. It's a commonly used abbreviation on the RV forums, for example.

That is exactly where I saw it and started using it two pop-up trailers ago.

Yeah, I first ran into those abbreviations 10 years ago on an RV forum. Thought they were silly then and still do. DW, DH, DS, DD, DM, DF, etc... I just use wife, husband, son, daughter, mother, father, etc... Works for me and everyone knows what I'm talking about.

On the forums where it is used, virtually every time there is a newbie, they need to post and ask what DW or DH means.

Anyway, as to the subject of this thread, it's too early to speculate what will happen with "Blue". I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

That's one of the reasons I don't want a fiver. The truck it would take to lug it around would be drinking fuel like an 18 wheeler even when I wouldn't be towing, which would be most of the time since I wouldn't be moving more than 2-4 times a year for less than 200 miles (if that). Then there are the steps inside the fiver. Going up and down them would get old in a hurry.

We're now on our 3rd Travel Trailer and have a hefty 3/4T diesel truck to pull it!

The trailer I've been eyeing can be easily be pulled with a Tundra. I plan on upgrading my current F150 to an F150 Ecoboost. Thirstier than a Mercedes but far more economical than what it would take to pull a fiver.

The Tundra is a nice truck and very capable. Has this beautiful V8 of the Lexus (tuned down). That would be better than any old Ford. For trailers you have a huge choice. But all the better ones are very expensive - e.g. the Airstreams.

An F150 isn't any old Ford. The F150 has a better tow rating than the Tundra.

For me, the selection of TTs (Travel Trailers) isn't all that great. I need quite a bit of space for all my computer crap...er...equipment for starters.

John, you hit the nail on the head. I stocked up with a couple of extra Windows 7 licenses and an Office 2010 license for 3 users. In the future I will have my desktops custom built (if I need any). I would love to build them myself, but with my bad eyesight I cannot see the itty bitty screws, LOL.

And then there is always my Mint Mate which I love. One day I may run that as the host and Windows 7 as the guest for the few things where I have better programs in Windows.

Btw, since a few years I do not watch TV any more in the US. Cannot stand these commercials. We only have basic TV now because the wife wants to watch a few SODs. And she records them and skips the commercials.

In Germany that is different. There I have commercial free TV stations, lots of them and from a dozen countries.

Sorry about the eyes mate and just as an idea what about getting some of those surgeons magnifying headsets I don't know how much they would cost or even a pair of the magnifiers we use in the emergency room for spotting foreign objects in eyes they are just really good and the ones with really good light sources and the LED powered type ones type honestly would keep you up to it for a long time . I think even the jewellers ones would be handy too.

Thanks John for the suggestions. I actually have one set of glasses that magnify and I can see little things pretty well with it. What I have not found yet is a set of glasses that lets me see well at a distance which I would need for driving. On a good day when it is not too sunny, I can still drive, but as soon as there is bright light (sun or headlights coming at me), I have a problem. Sunglasses help a bit, but of course not at night.

For the work on my 22" screen I am OK. I set the DPI to 150% and that works well. I will be happy if it does not get any worse. But there is no guarantee.
