well, i just had a misadventure. i was reading through the forum, when the strangest scent caught my attention. it was like a wet dog, that was also on fire (if that makes any sense, please call your local mental health facility). "wtf is that?!" i asked myself. so i wandered down the stairs, choking almost to the point of vomitting. then i noticed the strangest grey fog through out the house. "oh s***, it's burning down!" i exclaimed. i made my way to the kitchen, to find a pan with what seemed to be melted brain matter, causing all those distasteful scents and such. it was (at one point) hamburgers, burnt to a leathery crisp. then i pondered.... the damn house could have burning down, and nobody noticed?! then i saw the "chef" outside tending to feral stray cats. and discovered my underling sister clacking away at the keyboard in the den. "you dont smell that!?" i asked in a fit. "smell what?" she says back. "you dont see that?!" i rebutted, pointing to the thick gray smoke though out the house. "see what?!" she replied. "what the hell is wrong with you?!" i asked.
what happened: my step'ma was cooking, got distracted by furry woodland creatures (for like half an hour?!) and my kid sibling, was to oblivious to the world beyond youtube, to notice the entire house engulfed in smoke. and on top of all that i learned my dad had removed the batteries from the smoke detector due it "always beeping".

sometimes i wonder.... it could have been a lot worse. would they just laugh it off, then? idiots.

Drove early this morning to see Mutti (German for mommy, nick of my mother-in-law). Wife is sleeping over there this week-end to help her, after third stroke she needs help with almost everything.

We went all together to have a nice brunch, then shopping for groceries for Mutti. Once again my wife and I tried carefully talk about the possibility of Mutti coming to live with us. Like so many times before, she pretended not to hear us.

About an hour ago I was firmly but so gently sent away for a few hours. Drove home, put coffee machine on and logged in to SevenForums.

Today is one of those milestone days that will only happen 2 or 3 times for a SF user... I will go over 1,000 posts/1000+rep and will almost qualify for my GURU badge ... Have to wait till the 29th of Sept. for 90 days, but I learned my lesson .. Im not predicting any date this time... Thanks to all of you who helped me get here ... you are the best!

Finished my first two tutorials just now:

• How to copy a XP Mode virtual hard drive
• How to add limited user account to XP Mode

I can clearly see I have no visual talents, had to send Brink a PM to ask help with visualization. Still, I'm satisfied as they are.
