Im desperate here as I simply cannot figure out the solution is and this thing is driving me nuts.

I have major latency issues and from DPC checker have figured out that its my network adapters (or at least I think).
When I disable both of them, I get nearly perfect sound.
Ive re installed them/dloaded new drivers multiple times and no difference.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have a DELL E6400, Windows 7/64bit.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My problem is very similar to yours internet on red spike fest on dpc latency checker, internet off no red spikes and no crackling on audio.
Like you i spent months trying in to find the cause of this and after following "ageman's" instructions i discovered it was Malwarebytes Pro causing red spikes and audio gllitches. So i uninstalled it and run the free version instead and audio is glitch free.
Here's "ageman's" instructions. It's possible you might find a 3rd party app thats causing the conflict.

"press start key, type "msconfig" hit enter, go to "services", select hide all microsoft services, untill only 3rd party apps and add ons show, then click disable all hit enter, "restart" your computer, twice if you have to, then run your audio program and see if it still stutters. if it doesnt, then your problem is in your add ons and 3rd party apps, your welcome!11"

You can tell straight away if it's a 3rd party app causing the problem after you hide all microsoft services and disable all then restart now run DPC latency checker and see if all red spikes have gone and it's just showing normal green, then you you know it's a 3rd party app causing it.
All you have to do now is find out which one,by running each service and stopping it till you find the culprit.
I'ts mind numbing and incredibly tedius, but the relief when you find it is awesome.
I think maybe the thanks should go to "ageman"for finding this fix, hope it works for you.

Tom-

I use Malware Bytes Pro!

Should I just try uninstalling that first?

OH MY G-D!!!

No more audio problems!!!

TOM IS A GENIUS.

By the way Tom, I read online that all you have to do is uncheck "Website Blocking" as opposed to uninstalling it completely. This worked for me!

No more latency issues!

Holy cow....I was going to buy en entirely new computer.

Tom...I love you and I dont even know you.

Yeah,i know the relief is awesome i wasted a couple of months uninstalling drivers reinstalling drivers, rolling back drivers, uninstalling graphics card and reinstalling it.
Enabling and disabling everything in device manager, what a waste of time.Pity there is'nt some kind of latency checker that actually tells you precisely whats causing the red spikes.
Yeah i did find out about disabling "website blocking"stopping the audio glitch but for some reason it did'nt work for me,so i had to uninstalled MBAM Pro and run the free version instead and audio is crystal clear.
I'm glad the fix worked for you and lucky it was MBAM Pro or otherwise you would have been up half the night like me trying to find it in "services"
There's quite a few other people complaining about MBAM Pro causing this glitch, post a complaint about it on "General Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Forum"the more people that winge about it will maybe make them find a fix for it.

Well that was an epic kwitel and just goes to show what I think is that running two AV's is just not a good idea.

Tom I had a gut feeling that it would work after that other thread we were on - WELL DONE!!:)

Just as an after comment the problem lies I think with all the spiel that surrounds malware and virus and you end up getting quite paranoid. But I maintain that NO security programs are 100% foolproof and a lot depends on how you browse and use the machine.

Fine run on call scanners but don't let it take over your enjoyment of computing eh?

kwitel if you want them I don't remember posting them but hey I'll post them again use these they will not conflict your machine mate. The MBAM use the free it really is good enough in that form.

The Optimise is a must:D
