BSOD playing too long, watching a video and playing a game or gmod

I get BSOD whenever I am on my computer for 6 hours or over, watching a video and playing a game, or while playing gmod in general. My comp specs are on my profile as best as I could get. My computer runs 68C 26% fanspeed when not playing any games and gets as hot as 86C when playing games.
and my graphics card is up to date.

some of the BSODs were like memory management or time management or something.

Hello and welcome foodwrap Mate you mentioned memory management was brought up.

Now two things you can do here is
a) reseat the sticks

b) run a memtest if the reseating doesn't have any effect

You will need to make a bootable disk for the memtest and set the BIOS to boot from the optical drive then insert the memtest disk and Save and > Enter.

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

The machine will boot into the memtest program - no OS is loaded and it will start "testing" the RAM
Now you need to let it run for at least 8 passes unless you start to get red errors straight away.
The test takes quite while and sometimes people run it overnight.

But do the reseat first and have a look to see if any crud is down in the slots. You can take this chance to have a quick once over of the machine for dust etc

Just as follow up mate I also noted you said your computer temps were 68C and 85C respectively.

Now I am hoping you don't mean the CPU temp as those temps are too high the Tcase temp for that processor is 62C - 71C - see for yourself http://ark.intel.com/products/29765

the fan speed too seems rather slow what fan are we taling about here? Plus what cooler are you using for the CPU?

However I must say I am impressed that you actually added specs which so often is not the case and makes helping out that much easier - well done!

I stand corrected the .iso version isn't obsolete . Most people now a days use the USB flash drive version .

The temps are for the graphics card and i have a 4 external fans. The fan speed is for graphics card to it's on automatic control

Ok mate I was just concerned it may have been the CPU and those don't come cheap these days.
I ma not real sure what temps the cards are meant to run at though 86C seems pretty warm as after all it is only a chip(s) like a CPU.

So have you reseated the sticks and tried again? If you have and it doesn't happen you will know what the problem was if it does blue screen again better run that memtest at least it will eliminate one possible cause. In fact if you want to - could run it when you are of the machine for a while and be one step ahead.

An iso can be booted from a CD or a USB stick, I have and use both depending on what machine I work on. This tutorial will help with memtest,
