Are you really in that big of a hurry that 2 or 3 seconds is going to matter??

hmmmm cause everything is so fast in W7 as compared to XP, so one would expect "Everything" to be fast

, including Event Viewer!
You can actually limit the size of the evntvwr log files but Im not sure I would want to just to speed it up a bit. Do you have a lot of information alerts, and errors?

Thanks Ken, NO, just a bunch of Information/Security Audits and one critical Error that would NOT go away/wouldn't let me delete...it's about an old HP 6L printer that W7 couldn't share with one of my PC running XP SP3...by the way how do you Delete Error/Events in "Administration Events"
