I would but darn it I have 3 win 7 machines

I will try out 8 or either go with another 7 I seen a OEM copy for 30 bucks at fry's but I think I would have order it online

The SSD is about the only thing that makes it usable. maybe I should drag that out when we have people who say I would get an SSD, but I only have sata II. You know, the truth is, my main rig would be fairly fast without an SSD. An SSD is the only thing that makes that laptop usable. But, with one, it does a fairly good job, much better than the WEI scores indicate. They help an older rig more than the new ones.

Benjy, that's all that really matters. If it runs well and will do what you want it to, it's a good PC. Scores don't mean much anyway.

Nope I never even bother looking at them when I build any pc's. I'm not big into gaming or anything. So I don't need high end graphics card. Like I have a GeForce 8600 GS and it does me fine, could be a bit better but does what I need

This is the WEI of the Rig i put together with a 8120 I actually ran Vista then turned around and installed a $30.00 copy of windows 7 64bit OEM and gave this unit to my Dad his Core Duo Heatsink fell off in the middle of installing widows7 on his rig he was trying to update and i think his chip died so with that I handed him a new AMD Rig free of charge because he's my DADDY !

Yeah he told me it flies on start up and Burning his movies so he is happy

Thank you Steve I totally understand he had a minor Op the day before so this should make recovery even better for him also just told him early B day gift he'll be 76 in July 3 then my parents Anniversary on the 4th of July wooo Fireworks 51+ years of taking each other Insults
