Okay so I was told to make another thread on here with my CBS log attached and zipped... So it will be attached below.

Basically I have been having alot of problems with my computer and I have come to try and ignore the display issues as mentioned in previous threads BUT lately I have been having other issues... My internet browser takes an eternity to load anything and my WMP seems to crash whenever I use it. I can't use windows media center either because it gives me a blackened file windows where the windows media center startup screen is supposed to be.

Also yesterday night I was unfortunate enough to receive a blue screen with a bunch of error codes so I shutdown my computer unplugged it and went to bed... Anyways yeah I know I should just reinstall my os and be done with this but I already did a repair install not too long ago and it took me weeks to get my computer back to where it was at (12 hours a day with no job lol)...

So yeah I don't know where I should begin with this mess of a computer but if anyone would like to help me with these new problems please respond below.

Also here is a link to my old thread (Please note I found a workaround to the whole arrange by issue but the file display issues are still 100% present and annoying as ever): http://www.sevenforums.com/general-...ything-but-folder-wont-work-how-do-i-fix.html

The CBS Log as stated above is attached below.

Hi Radical924,

Seeing as you managed to get the System Update Readiness Tool to work in the end, can you attach the log for us please?

Hi Radical924,

Sorry for the delay, it was a very busy day at work.

Can you boot into the recovery environment, and launch command prompt please: How to use the Windows 7 System Recovery Environment Command Prompt

When command prompt is launched, type in the following command and press enter:

DISM /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions

Then reboot your computer, booting into Windows normally, try updating and if it fails, post your CBS log again please.

Unfortunately, I only have the CD on an iso file (Microsoft provided it to me)and I do not have a blank cd... is there a way I can boot to the recovery environment command prompt without needing a physical CD?

And thanks for taking your time to reply it is okay you took a while. It is just to see someone willing to help.

You might have to download the .iso file and re-do the USB drive. For some reason those iso's don't work the 1st time.

Okay I successfully loaded up the Windows 7 Recovery console command prompt. I noticed that in the recovery console my "C:| Drive was labeled "D:" drive instead. So when entering in your command it would only "work" if I used "D" instead of "C". Anyways when I entered in this command (keep in mind it would only work if I used "D:" instead of "C:"):
DISM /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions
and it gave me this error : SEE PIC#1 SEE PIC #2

Sorry for taking so long to respond but I decided to create a bootable recovery partition with my Install ISO image (I also have the bootable USB)... Here is what my disk management looks like now: SEE PIC #3

Also what did you mean by:
try updating and if it fails
What do I update? I tried checking windows for updates but it says windows is up to date.

Lastly, attached below is my new CBS log like you requested.

Thank you for taking your time to try and help me out!

Hi Radical924,

That's great news. Thanks Greg and Gary for helping get us here! :)

In your second screenshot, you typed /cleanup-image/revertpendingactions, i.e. without the space in the middle that it requires:

DISM /image:D:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions

I was wondering whether this was holding back any updates from going through and when this command is run properly, it would undo the partially installed update and would once again be available through Windows Update.

Tom

Okay so I executed the command with the space and the letter D (Although I would like to know how to change this to letter C)... Here is what it said: SEE PIC#4. Now I checked for updates in "Windows Update" and it says "Windows is up to date". My new CBS log is attached below.

Is there maybe a way I can repair just the problem using either the bootable USB or the "WIN 7 SP1 CD" partition? This would need to be without clicking repair operating system; however, of course if you had something else planned for me to try I'd want to try that first.

Okay today ir gave me another blue screen except this happened when I tried to log into my account. Now ALL accounts fail to load when logging in. It gives me a black screen... Is there a way I can fix this using the Windows Recovery console command prompt...? I have no clue what is going on! And I know for a fact I don't have a virus...

Work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start
starting with booting the installer provided in it to run Startup Repair a few times, if it doesn't offer to run System Restore run it from the Options list.

Then it's up to you whether you want to continue trying all of the step possible to start Win7, or rescue your files to run Recovery or get the superior Clean Reinstall.

Okay I tried turning on the hidden admin account and it said "The command completed successfully" but unfortunately the hidden admin account doesn't appear. I also tried the command"net user" and it won't list the accounts on my computer. It says : The command completed with one or more errors". Lastly I tried diskpart to see what it said about my files. Well it says Size 596 GB Free 0 B. Partition 1 Primary Size 100 MB Offset 31 KB. Partition 2 Primary 592 GB Offset 101 MB. Partition 3 Primary Size 3238 MB Offset 593 GB... Now is it just me or does all this info seem relatively wrong??? I am thinking I will need to borrow or buy an external harddrive copy my files then do a format and clean install... If I do this should I remove the SYSTEM partition first??? Unless of course you have some more command prompt commands I can try...

None of those are in the steps I just gave you which include everything that can be done to start unbootable Win7. Did you miss my post?

Have you Marked Partition Active the 100mb System Reserved partition then run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times yet?

If you want to post back a camera snap of Partition Wizard's drive map when you get to that step we can check the configuration for you.

On a weird note I can still oddly stream music with tversity (Never requires me to log in), yet obviously I can't login into any accounts...

Oh sorry yeah I missed ur post... Umm my computer will start up it is just when I login it goes to a black screen and won't load. Also I tried to do a startup repair but it said found no problems... Since there isn't actually a problem with the computer starting up but with logging in and accessing my account.
