Solved Random ntoskernel.exe BSOD under varying conditions. Please help.

If you ran a memtest and you got an error . Run the memtest on each memory stick . Use one memory stick at a time .

Alright so memtest found and error on the 9th pass. This is actually a relief to actually find a tangible problem. Hopefully it is the only one. I will not have enough time this weekend to figure out if it is one stick, both sticks, or a mobo slot. I hope it's not a BIOS setting because i am totally lost if it is. I'll let y'all know as soon as i find out.

Errors/red lines in Memtest 86+ means one or more RAM is faulty. But the fault may occur due to a faulty DIMM slot, too, which is a motherboard component. Using memtest86+, you can discriminate between a faulty RAM and a faulty motherboard.

How? Say you have two RAM sticks and two DIMM slots. You obtained errors at the test with all RAM sticks installed. Now, remove all the sticks but one. Test it in all the available slots, one by one. Continue the same procedure for all the available sticks.
How to make the inference that is it a RAM issue or it is a motherboard issue? Suppose you have got the result like that:

test|Slot1|Slot2
RAM1| Error | Error
RAM2|Good|Good

It is a RAM, a bad RAM.

But if you have got a result like that:

test|Slot1|Slot2
RAM1| Error |Good
RAM2| Error |Good

It is a motherboard issue. The particular slot is bad.

Thanks guys. It's going to take me a few days to test cause i'm doing it at night. Thus far i have only tested ram 1 in slot 1 with errors. Will test ram 2 tonight. Thanks again for your continued support.

Okay so just to keep y'all updated, the second stick had no errors so I am going to try to go through an RMA. Should I bother testing the second slot or would that just be a waste of time?

It might be a waste of time, but if the two sticks showed different results in a same slot, you should try at least one more test of the failing stick, in another slot.

As and when a single error pops up, stop testing.

Okay this may be a dumb question. I just got an RMA issued but because I bought the two sticks bundled should i return them both together or just the defective one. I tried to contact corsair but so far all i have gotten is silence and i would like to send it out asap.

You bought two sticks bundled ... that's a RAM kit. If you RMA, you send the kit back.

Okay so I just got my memory back from Corsair. (They had it for 10 business days before shipping wtf)

Anyway just to be safe i ran memtest for 18 passes with no errors. I will let you guys know if i have any further issues.
