Can you delete the old FRST.exe and download a new one below . Delete the FRST.txt log as well

Open up an Elevated Command Prompt. Click on rb: in

type CMD . Right click on CMD under Programs (1) choose

. On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button . Command Prompt opens up to C:\Windows\System32>_

Type the command below inside the command prompt

Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks OFF press Enter

If the above doesn't help . Can you place the FRST64.exe file into a USB flash drive and boot to the System Recovery command prompt .

• As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
• Use the arrow keys to select the Repair Your Computer menu item.
• Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
• Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
• Select your user account an click Next.

:ar: On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

• Startup Repair
  
• System Restore
  
• Windows Complete PC Restore
  
• Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
  
• Command Prompt

Select Command Prompt

In the command window type X:\FRST64.exe and press Enter

   Note

Replace letter X with the drive letter of your flash drive.

   Tip

Type the commands below to see what your letter is for the USB drive and press ENTER after each command

Diskpart
List volume

The tool will start to run.
When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
FRST will let you know when the scan is complete and has written the FRST.txt to file

my computer has an asus UEFI bios and i don't have those options available

i can get to this screen with my windows 7 disc but cannot start frst64.exe from the command prompt on my flash drive

On that screen choose Command Prompt .

Inside command prompt type the commands below

Diskpart and press <ENTER>

You will then see

DiskPart>_

Type list volume and press <ENTER>

It will then generate a list . Take note of your drive letter for your USB Flash Drive . Once you know your USB Flash Drive type Exit press <ENTER> you then see it saying Leaving DiskPart . . .

Then type E:\FRST64.exe and press <ENTER>

Replace E with your actual drive letter
