Solved Sporadic video color crossover on W7 64-bit?

Trying to fix an odd problem with videos on my W7 64-bit machine. Some videos will show a color crossover where red is green etc. Black and white are normal. Have tried various Microsoft diagnostics but no luck. My display adapter is NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT (up to date). Tips?

Anything on the following list will show a crossover...
- MOV file copied from iPhone if played with WMV or Quicktime
- Any video recorded on this computer with Webex
- Video downloaded from YouTube AND converted with Wondershare

Following list NO crossover...
- MOV file copied from iPhone if played with DivX or FLV Player
- Video downloaded from YouTube but not modified

Added info for anyone trying to help:

In this work environment, I have a larger ViewSonic LCD monitor in front of me with a slightly smaller Dell LCD monitor off to the side. I can keep Web pages open on the right (Dell) while working with core software in front of me (the ViewSonic).

A co-worker suggested I open one of the off-color videos and then drag it across the extended desktop to the other monitor to see what happens. In the case of both Quicktime and Windows Media Player (using both mp4 and wmv source videos), the color remained crossed as I was dragging the video. Once it was inside the Dell monitor and I released the mouse, the color reverted to normal!

Also, remove the video driver on the system and then download it from the link below:

NVIDIA DRIVERS 307.83WHQL

Let us know what cable you are using to set up extended display on the system. Also, have you tried a different video cable to isolate the issue.

You can also connect one monitor at a time and check the issue to know if it happens on extended mode only.

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

It turns out that I was already running the latest NVIDIA driver, but I re-installed it using the "Custom/Clean" option that returned everything to default settings. Now all videos display with normal color. Very simple solution for a problem that's irritated me for six months! Thanks!
