Hello Everyone,
I have an Asus UX31A I got it with windows 7 pro installed on it.
I then upgraded to windows 8 by downloading a file from Microsoft's site.
I have recently installed windows 8.1 preview and I am trying to revert to windows 7.
By the way,I have deleted my "windows old" file after installing windows 8:cry:
Is there any way to revert to windows 7?) I have genuine disc and a serial of 7x64 ult')
Does any body know of a step by step manual that could guide me through the process?
Any kind of help would be much appreciated:D

Thank you for your prompt reply.
The trouble.....as I see it is that the laptop came with the win7 os installed (I don't have a disc for that specific os)and all I have is a genuine copy of win7x64 ult' which I intended to use at my office.
Will this be enough?

You want to install the same version that came with your pc, if you want to use the original key on the COA sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

You can use the Ultimate disc you have, but why waste that license, when the laptop came with windows pre installed, find a machine where you can download windows from the above links and burn to dvd or flashdrive.

Just to explain why I gave the standard clean install link instead of factory OEM reinstall: As far as I know the OP's ultrabook has been offered with Windows 7 HP and Pro, not with Ultimate, so I assumed OP's Windows 7 Ultimate is a self bought retail / OEM copy instead of factory OEM.
