removed Gigabyte GTX 670 oc to clean it and case now BSOD ERRORS

Today I removed my Gigabyte GTX 670 so can de dust it and the computer. Ever since re installing it I have issues with BSOD with either these to messages


system service exception
and
page fault in nonpaged area

very frustrating

when you cleaned did you use a compressed air canister? and have you checked you have the card is seated properly and any plugs on MB have not come disconnected?

hi there yes I did use a can of compressed air the card appears to be seated correctly. I Have put it in a few times to be sure. It clicks in. the only cables I have connected are the pci express power cables the 6pin and 8 pin plugs

i would uninstall the driver from device manager turn pc off take card out resit card boot up pc let windows install driver make sure you have a connection to internet.

okay I will try that the only way I will be able to remove the drivers is to run it in safe mode or through the onboard graphics card it usually hangs on boot up or just after login screen

Yea the i7 3770K has an Intel HD4000 graphics chip on board so ill try that tomorrow.

I also seem to can't run my dual monitors I guess have something to do with this potential driver issue

I've experienced a few of those 'moments' myself. Never quite got to the bottom of why though. Windows just seems to jump the gun and goes 'ah ha - change! whilst easily forgetting to go ah ha - same, carry on!'

Removing the drivers seems to reset that frustrating little quirk for the most part. Glad you got it working again though :)

I think the can of compressed air did something. Tho the can was always upright I think something must of came out or why else would this start to happen. Been trouble free since building it 14 months ago...

Please read post #11 again.
Removing a video card dose not change drivers or bios if you had the computer powered down. Double check your mounting of the video card and harness connection. Make sure you have installed the card in the proper position as per motherboard manual.
