Solved IE10 Crashing and Freezing in Win 7 Ultimate

Upload it.

I said I had created the dump file. How do I upload it? I can't open it and I can't copy it.

Move it to the desktop, zip it up and attach using the paperclip in the reply box.

How the hell do I move the stupid thing to the desktop, let alone zip it up? I can't drag it and right clicking on it and clicking on send to desktop just gives me the option to put a shortcut on the desktop.

Well it won't work for me because it's not an option on the right click menu.

What are your options? My context menu has all the usual options.

You can also get a little info on the crash here,

Control Panel\System and Security\Action Center\Reliability Monitor

There will be a red X with the critical event,

If you right click on "Check for a solution" under Action, then view technical details,

You can then copy to clipboard at the bottom left and paste that in your reply.

Well, I had one hell of a time finding Reliability Monitor because there wasn't what it was called in the Action Center window (methinks you missed a step). I also didn't see anything about copying it to the clipboard at the bottom left so I took a screen shot of it. Here 'tis:

I copied the address as text from the address bar.

I think you missed a step by not right clicking on "Check for a solution" at the end of the critical event line.

RIGHT CLICK on check for a solution and then view technical details.

I appreciate you all being patient with me and trying to help me but I have ADHD. If things get to complicated, my mind shuts down. Trying to get me to follow things given to me piecemeal and out of order just isn't going to work. I need simple, complete, step by step directions in the proper order. Don't worry about insulting me with overly simplified, detailed instructions.

Right now, I'm too confused to do anything so I'll have to take a short break, assuming my temper doesn't get the better of me and I just go back to IE9.

Probably, that attempt failed...

Once we get to where she can view event details in reliability monitor,

She can easily see the faulting module and at least get a direction to look.

Well, I managed to sort out the directions and Avast's Web Rep app jumped out at me. I disabled it and I haven't had a crash in several hours, despite keeping 10-11 tabs open. I'll know for sure after tomorrow morning.
