If the notebook is ASUS install the newest ATSK/ATKD/ACPI drivers - just look for some weird short names starting with A :D.

Sorry I was away, but there is no need to bump.

I believe we are making progress, in contrast to rest of the dumps Netwsw00.sys was not present
at the stack, although ndis / nwifi were (which are related).

Are you willing to uninstall Kaspersky for trouble shooting purposes?

Oh, sorry. Was just so used to quick responses unlike certain websites (Intel, HP.com), started to think I was abandoned!

Downloading the Driver as we speak and I guess I could uninstall Kaspersky at some point...

On the bright side, I uninstalled my wireless driver, restarted the system and it re-installed itself. Since then, I have not had a BSOD but still testing.

Got another BSOD and it was exactly the same thing that happened last time.

This icon froze and I couldn't open it (highlighted in red):

So, I believe I could basically avoid BSOD's by restarting the computer before I put it to sleep every time this event happens to happen.

I downloaded the Synaptics driver and will install that sometime today. Haven't touched Kaskersky just yet.

Got another one today, this time it had nothing to do with the wireless adapter freezing. I closed my lid as my class ended and it just didn't enter sleep mode and BSOD

No it's OK i prefer it being dated :) .

Unfortunately its the same 0x9F with ties to your wireless adapter before we call it hardware
I want to try a couple of more drivers and angles.

I've lost track of which version you're using / used it bounced around all over the place.
uninstall the driver using the device manager as before including ticking the check-box to delete the driver files as well.

  1. Install the drivers supplied by your OEM. | HP Support.
  2. Test, induce the bugcheck. If it occurs continue.
  3. Update to Version: 16.1.1 (last time I asked you do this it didn't update to the latest version!) Download.
  4. Test, induce the bugcheck. If it occurs continue.
  5. Follow post #83, including the removal of Kaspersky.
  6. Test, induce the bugcheck. If it occurs continue.
  7. Download and install an older version of the driver | HP Support
  8. Test, induce the bugcheck. If it occurs continue.
  9. Reduce the heat buildup Post #73.
  10. Test, induce the bugcheck. If it occurs continue.
  11. Stop using wireless all together. Test, induce the bugcheck.

View attachment 286684

I believe the installations worked out? If you could check that maybe

updated synaptic successfully (but it disabled my feature that comes with the laptop so i downloaded the one provided from hp.com)
updated wireless driver successfully

going to mess with kaspersky now

Not surprisingly it's the same bugcheck and blocked irp.

How far did you get to, and how are things since?

Currently at step 4. To my knowledge I have yet to experience a BSOD.

Not sure if I mentioned this before, but i never used to have this problem until after I had installed a 'pirate' version of connectify. Kaskersky has never really caused me any trouble since the first time i started using it but i'll work on it anyways.

Well, there could be your answer. Uninstall this program and, if you must use it, install a legitimate version.

Why would you brag about being a thief in the top tech forums on the web?

The mod is being generous with you, so I'd take his advice asap. Then we can start helping you again.
