So... about a week ago, I started getting BSODs and it's happening more & more frequently. I played World of Warcraft tonight and did 25man raiding (if this helps anyone) and got 2 IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL or something like that type of bsod message in less than 3 hours. I've been getting BSODs playing other games like Diablo 3 or just idle in D3/WoW & watching a tv show/movie

If anyone can help please post with your knowledge!

Probably caused by : hardware ( nt!KiRetireDpcList+77 )
The bugcheck seems to have resulted, due to a misaligned instruction pointer, during the processing of the DPC queue. Although, the probably caused line points to hardware, this is usually because the CPU isn't able to translate a address using that particular instruction pointer provided by a driver.

From another bugcheck, we can see that your nVidia graphics card driver seems to be causing problems and outdated, please update to the latest WHQL version (1st July 2013) from here - Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

The other bugcheck was Stop 0x3D which was Interrupt Exception was handled, therefore it makes sense that the other bugcheck crashed upon the DPC queue.

Thank you, I've followed all your instructions and updated all drivers that you said that were causing problems. Additionally, I conducted a memtest and came up with no errors. I will post back here with more information in an event that I get a BSOD later today for playing wow.

I raided tonight without any issues on WoW, might've just gotten lucky for tonight. Approximately 2 hours later, I have WoW open idle and I get a BSOD. I wasn't able to see the BSOD error message because it literally popped up for <1 second and then computer restarted. I have attached the minidump, hopefully someone can determine what caused it.

Run Driver Verifier to scan for any corrupted drivers which may be causing problems, this program works by running various stress tests on drivers, in order to produce a BSOD which will locate the driver; run for least 24 hours:

I'm not exactly sure on the MemTest86+ passes. I ran it for about 12 hours. When I exited from the memtest, the pass was at 81% and on test #7 if I remember correctly. Also, I bought the computer built together and it was overclocked by default. I am now running the verifier and will report back here if I get results.

Thank you

A friend of mine had me run "IntelBurn Test 2.54". I ran the program and within 5 seconds after, I got a BSOD and my computer restarted. I had verifier setup before I ran the intelburn test. My computer wouldn't boot up after the BSOD. I had to go into safe mode and delete the settings on the verifier in order to get my computer to boot up. I tried to setup verifier again after it's booted up but it requires a restart and after restarting, it just gets stuck at loading windows. I have attached the minidump from the BSOD.

Edit: After the above happened, I cleared the overclocking profile so cpu should be operating at normal speed 3.33ghz

I got another BSOD with the message "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION". I went ahead and ran verifier again - had to restart computer for changes to take effect. After I restarted, windows wouldn't start. It would just sit there and be stuck at starting windows. I had to go into safe mode and delete the changes and reboot and windows would go back to default and boot up. Any idea what's wrong if I can't run driver verifier?

Please also stop overclocking, and revert the BIOS settings back to default

You were asked to stop overclocking, running a component out of spec can have unexpected
results. Considering you're experiencing bugchecks already you should have done so as soon as suggested.
Checking the dumps after you stated you cleared the CMOS and the speed was reverted back to stock
shows otherwise to be true.

Reset the BIOS back to default in case you're unaware that your CPU is overclocked:

   Note
Write down the current value of the SATA Mode!
Its either AHCI or IDE.
After resetting the CMOS go back and verify the value for SATA Mode is what it was
when the OS was installed.

You're using 320.49 which known to be buggy, install a more stable release:
Install the 314.22 WHQL only.

  • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
    • 3D Vision Control Driver
    • 3D Vision Driver
    • Graphics Driver
    • HD Audio Driver
    • PhysX
    • nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
  • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
  • Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Let us know the results.

Test for thermals and stability:

  • Download Speccy and post a Screenshot of the summary window, one at idle and another while putting load on the PC using Prime95 for the CPU side and Furmark for the GPU.

Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean by uploading a new instance of the .zip? I have cleared the overclocking setting 100% sure this time because I looked in my current clock speed it went from 4.000 to 3.325 :). I uninstalled & cleaned my nvidia settings/drivers and freshly installed the one you posted.

I only ran Prime95 for about 20 minutes - see the previous post before this post for the result since I'm heading to bed. Assuming that's not enough time, I'll run it again tomorrow for 2 hours and then I'll do the gpu test. I got the files from SFDT and it's attached. I included everything including the previous minidumps since the files were automatically gathered into the folder.

Alright, so I ran everything you posted and here are the results:

Prime95: http://i.imgur.com/2kqNWd8.png
Furmark: I tried running Furmark and my computer instantly restarted after I pressed "GO!" on the program.

I ran Prime95 for approximately 2 hours as stated in the guide you linked in a previous post.

After my computer instantly restarted from running Furmark, I began googling my problem to see if others had similar or the same experience.

My psu is XtremeGear Gaming Power Supply 800watts, if that helps. Read that a lot of people have issues with this psu :(. If psu needs to be replaced, any recommendations?
I was looking at the following:
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-Watt-CX600/dp/B0092ML0OC/ - 750w
http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Silent-Modular-RS800-80GAD3-US/dp/B003O8J12S/ - 800w

Not sure if 750w is enough, though. I ran newegg's power supply calculator and the required power supply was around 670w and that didn't include everything (ex: I have a combined total of 3 ssds/hdds) and I could only put one hdd or ssd on the calculator and couldn't put multiple dvd-rom/dvd-rw's on it.

Any other tests I should run to troubleshoot bsods?
