i read all the topics from here but i am unable to resize my win 7 partition .
i think the problem is that the free space is in the extended partition . how to get the free space from the extended partition without erase or format the other partition (D and E)
http://i31.tinypic.com/2cr3dx1.jpg

I try a lot of programs but no one works becouse the free space is inside the extended partition

download something like Acronis Disk Director and re-size the extended partition to move the free space outside of it.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.

In "Disk Management", you can just delete the empty partition. It will be shown as unallocated space behind the W7 partition. Then you can just extend the Windows 7 volume with that unallocated space by right clicking on the empty space and extend volume.

Before you restart/reboot, read the following link regarding boot recovery, if any:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/668-system-recovery-options.html
He can only disregard first sentence, cause he already have free space...

Sassa, it won't work. Because the free space is inside the extended partition.

That method only works if you delete one of the primary partitions which he does not want to do.

gparted can't do it either. He needs Acronis. The free trial lets you make a bootable USB recovery device as far as I'm aware.

You can convert logical partition into primary, which I think is going to be part of the solution here.

also, if you move the boot manager to the C: drive, make it "active", you can delete that 100MB partition if you aren't using bitlocker to encrypt your system drive.

because a 100MB partition is a waste of a primary partition.

i solved the problem with acronis but with some bad things . after i boot with acronis disk director the program change the letters from my drive and the 100 mb hidden partion become active one with letter C . after i rebboot the system didn"t reconize the windows , and a error come on the screen (MBR missing) . i tryied to repaire with windows dvd but was ussles. a booted again with acronis but the change letter option was deactivated , so i reinstalll th OS again . now everthing is fine
so solved :D
