Which GTX 780 Graphics card should I get?

I just put my cards on Ebay :zip:

Hope they get sold if so i'm looking for that 780 classified :geek:

Good luck Solar, I hope they sell for you. I have been reading up quite a bit on the Classy and apparently it has some pretty high end parts and voltage controller. Word seems to be that it is the best 780 you can get.

Of course I will be back with lots of benchmarks later after it's been delivered. Lets see how it stacks up against the HOF.

I can pick up a Palit reference 780ti for £510, which is a gnat's knacker more than I paid for my 780. Now I am really tempted.

View attachment 292851

That's a good price, I think the cheapest I found for a reference was £540. I look forward to hearing how it performs if you get one, hopefully you can run some of the benchmarks we have here on the site so we can see how it does.

That GTX 780 classified is $605 for me.:( I am planning on getting maybe one of the EVGA GTX 780 with an ACX cooler since I have a HAF 922 case with really good airflow, with also a 850watt psu in-case I need to upgrade anymore. :D But which graphics card should I get they all seem the same?
Also whats the difference between these 2 PSU?

I would pick EVGA over ASUS if it came down to those cards and the classified is still clocked about 200mhz faster 1046 boost clock the one you are looking at boost clock is 902 that is a huge chunk and the price is cheaper they are charging 160.00 more then the classified from EVGA

Classified is a very good card, it don't beat the HOF, but it is very close. The temps on the other hand are night and day, for example Unigene Sanctuary, the HOF hit 96C overclocked, the Classified hit 57C Overclocked.

Thats is actually a pretty nice card, you should get the backplate and get better temps.

It's interesting you said that cos I read that the backplate increases temps by up to 15C, this was from a few different sources. The backplate looks awesome, I had one on an old Evga 660ti which looked great but the reported temp increases have put me off on this one.

Where did you hear a backplate will give better temps? As far as I am concerned all it will do is make it look nicer and improve rigidity of the card, I had not thought about temps until I saw people speaking about the plate raising temps the other day.

I read that on the EVGA store: EVGA | Products | EVGA GTX 780 Backplate | 100-BP-2780-B9 says decreases by 3 degrees. But which EVGA card should I get? They all look the same:confused:
Newegg.ca - Computer Hardware, Video Cards & Video Devices, Desktop Graphics Cards, EVGA, GeForce GTX 700 series, GeForce GTX 780 my budget is $500 -600.

I heard they are $700 for one, and faster than a Titan.

Hmm Tri 780ti - better than titan performance for cheaper...

I think you should go for it Patrick. It's the best game in town for your set up.

As far as the backplate increasing temps, that's a new one on me. I have a backplate on mine and have never had temp problems. The highest temps I've seen overclocked running Heaven or Mark 3D was 62. You can buy them from EVGA. And as far as I'm concerned, the EVGA Classified is the best 780 you can buy. They are supposedly made with higher quality parts and a better quality card all the way around. And you can't beat their customer service, which is important to me. Asus, is a different story. Been there, done that, with both asus and EVGA. EVGA is top notch.
