Hello guys,

I went to my Classmate's birthday while leaving my computer peacefully off, then when I came back to my house and opened my computer to play Minecraft, my computer shut down instantly like every 12-15 Minutes after the start up. then I checked my CPU - touch everything, everything is in normal except the video card. It's very hot even the computer just opened for 15 minutes yet
Also it starting to load slow even I have 2 GB ram and not like the old days it starts normally :(

You need to monitor the temps with applications. Going by touch alone is not helpful enough.

For CPU, there is realtemp or Coretemp or speedfan.

For GPU - there is GPU-Z, MSI afterburner, or EVGA Precision X

If the PC is shutting down due to excess heat, then temps like 100C+ are what you'd expect to see. All applications have a check box to montior temps in the back ground so even if the PC crashes you can look at the .txt log to see what heat it's actually hitting.

Also check to see if yourr CPU fan and GPU fan isn ot full of clogged dust etc.

Alright, Download the programs now and also I just cleaned my CPU and removed almost all the dust. After download should I put the logs of the .txt file result here ( I mean post/reply the result on this thread )?

Hey Razer2k13,

I had this happen to me a few years back. I checked the card and realized that the fan was actually broken and was not moving any air. Might be worth it to pull the card out and check for any physical damage. When you reinstall the card, turn the computer on and see if the fan is really spinning or not. Let us know what you find.

Hope this helps,
JackALope

Besides the video card fan:

Checked the heatsink/fan of the CPU?

Checked the power supply's fan?

Power supply could be the failure point here also.

We have same GPU but mine is fine, try re-applying a thermal paste again, your GPU temps should not exceed 95 Celsius (105 is max but below 95 just to be safer)

Yep.

You can either zip the results and attach or post the results using the "Code Tag"

ie

Code:
To use the code tag You use the open / close brackets [ ]

For example it will look like this [code} results {/code]

Just replace the { with [ and ]

This makes easier to read
If the temps are okay then we can look at other things that might be the issue, like Power Supply as mentioned.

Just to answer some of your Spec questions:

PSU = The PSU or Power Supply/ This is what you plug into the wall to give you power to all the parts of your PC.
Case = The tower/box all the parts of your PC are put into/ These are called cases.
Cooling = What type of CPU cooling you have. If it's stock, the fan that comes with the CPU, or if it's after market - a third party replacement. other types of cooling are what fans your you have inside your computer.

Nothing wrong, I checked it already and it spinning properly.

Did anyone touch your computer while you were gone ?

Well, yeah. My brother touched it while I'm gone. but I'm pretty sure he did nothing wrong since he said he just played Counter Strike 1.6 and that's all.

Besides the video card fan:

Checked the heatsink/fan of the CPU?

Checked the power supply's fan?

Power supply could be the failure point here also.

Alright, Sure. I'll check it later - I'm kinda busy with something

We have same GPU but mine is fine, try re-applying a thermal paste again, your GPU temps should not exceed 95 Celsius (105 is max but below 95 just to be safer)

What Thermal paste?

Alright, Download the programs now and also I just cleaned my CPU and removed almost all the dust. After download should I put the logs of the .txt file result here ( I mean post/reply the result on this thread )?

Yep.

Okay, I'll check/do it later. Thanks btw

EDIT :

After downloading everyone, and lastly the MSI Afterburner which is the important but I got it downloaded last. It fixed the issue because it powers/doubled the power of fans and etc that makes my computer back to normal. Thank smarteyeball!

Cheers,
iRazer
