The Double D is slimmer i am sure they perform about the same i think ASUS has a higher boost clock as well

Get the Asus. Asus has a 12 phase MOSFETs and has incredible oc ability. All u have to do is replace the thermal paste and you will get amazing temps one idles at 27c and full load is 68c

Get the Asus. Asus has a 12 phase MOSFETs and has incredible oc ability. All u have to do is replace the thermal paste and you will get amazing temps one idles at 27c and full load is 68c

Thanks, I gather there's a tutorial out there for the thermal paste replacement, I gather you just remove the plastic and the heatsink. The OCing will be handy.

I was more talking about bulk then length some Asus cards take up three slot spaces that is why i said the Double D is slimmer

GET THE ASUS!!! I have it and its an amazing card. When the drivers get finalized it will be even more amazing! Just know that it is a huge card. Only takes 2 slots but it is wide and long. And make sure you have very good case airflow.

Definitely the ASUS. The DCUII cooler is great.

There's only 10mhz between the two for the core clock speed which is nothing and can be easily fixed by overclocking the card.

This i was trying to do but the damn Heatsink on this 7970 is glued with Gorilla Glue or something i swear :geek:

I gave up and visiontek told me i would have voided the warranty so i just sent it to them
