Basically what the title says:
Has anyone here jumped on intels new core or are you holding off for more mobos etc..?
If they bring out dual 16x PCIe chipsets I'll being picking one up for my buil later this year. Just thought I would ask to see if anyone couldn't wait and made the leap. The i5-750 has had similar benchmark results as the i7-920 so it could be great bang for the buck especially if you can overclock.

Very good points, I don't think they are officially released here in Aus but you can get them on various websites for around $330au for i5-750, compared to around $400au for i7-920. So hopefully the prices come down. I was reading a review/benchmark on a site that i can't seem to find so i can't post a link but it even beats the i7-920 in some games and apps etc.. Because of the fact it has no hyperthreading, so each thread doesn't have to share its core with another and wait to execute its command.

I currently have an AMD Phenom X4 9950 and I'm perfectly happy with it for now, but I will admit the Core i5 looks tempting, if I could justify buying more parts for a newer build, but I can't, as I only built this machine in February. Maybe a year from now.

The price is alot better than the big core i7s...

Had a look at newegg and I saw a MB ($100) + Corei5 ($200) + RAM (Under $100)

Around $400...it won't be that cheap with the i7 builds...
