Gadgets - How to Move Them Closer Together

Trick to Moving Gadgets in Windows 7 Closer Together

   Information
Gadgets in Windows 7 snap to fixed wells on the desktop making the space between them farther apart then you may want them to be. This will show you a trick to move them as close together as you want.
   Tip
You might try this gadget by Orbmu2k, posted here by Guntmeister if you have problems with the gadget spacing saving when using the shift key method.

Step 1
While your gadget that you wish to move is on the desktop, hold down the SHIFT key while moving the gadget closer to another gadget.
That's it.

Good job Aaron

Agreed "GREAT JOB", it's got to be the shortest one I've seen as well on any forum.

I take it if you do this, the Widgets stay in the positions that you assigned them after a restart or cold boot? :geek:

Me too.

It's really annoying for me, because I use only the weather and calendar app. And their default snap locations do not align with one another.
