Why can't i install anything? [says full disk, it's not]

As stated in the title of this thread, i cannot install anything. I get (most of the time) an error of "1711 not enough disk space", or something along those lines. other times it doesn't include the number it just tells me there's not enough space. I've changed the temp folder to my HDD and tried installing to that, I've tried deleting all of my MSIxxx.tmp files, I've also tried restarting my computer. it seems nothing is working and i will have to quit life. help would be greatly appreciated, even if you think I've already tried it

Did you check to which partition it actually tries to install. And if you could post a picture of your disk management, that would help.

And what is the path to where the installer tries to put the program files - watch that closely during the installation attempts.

It just jumps strait to this.

That does not tell us very much. Check all partitions - especially the small ones - whether there are any stray 'Program Files'.

I made a partition for a hackentosh drive and never got around to it. This was on it.. it says this, as follows, when i try to delete it.

EDIT: i formatted this partition, and it did not fix it.

press Start
type regedit and press Enter
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
in the right pane, double click on ProgramFilesDir - there are 2

I don't think this Hackintosh stuff helps. What does the regkey say.

Btw: I have only 40% vision and a very hard time to read your snips. Is black writing on white backhround possible.

Well, I set the default to be my F:\ drive, because someone told me that might fix it. Nothing changed.

P.S. I just successfully installed VLC to my F:\ drive, but i still can't install hamachi and my sound card drivers or java.

Default for what library - x86 or x64. Most programs will install in x86.

I just see that you have very little space on C which I assume is a SSD. Get rid of the hiberfile. The command is powercfg -h off

(x86), and i tried the,"powercfg -h off" you suggested and it didn't work.

Of course that works - I have done that many times. What happened. You probably did not run cmd in elevated mode or made a mistake in the format - with the spaces.

And if you pointed the installer to F, did you really make a folder of program files in F and put that path into the reg.

the command worked, but seemed like it did nothing, and I did put it to a Program files folder on my F, but it messed a few things up and didn't fix my problem, so i reverted it.

Sorry to bother you again, but no one else seems to be able to help me as much as you. Do you have any other ideas for my installing issue?

2. Did you get powercfg -h off to work

3. If you post black snips, assume that I cannot read them because I am half blind.
