Are the GPUs you and Niklu have almost the same except for the Ti?

Thanks for the info Ryan, apparently N/A in the US. Newegg has a 780Ti but not called a Kingpin Edition.

I dunno, but whenever I hear the name EVGA it makes me think Alienware. Overpriced equipment. Nothing personal but all their products seem to be 100% more than their counterparts yet have the same specs...so what exactly is the extra cash for? The namebrand?

Everyone used to go to EVGA because of the warranty they offered but I think they've changed the length of it now. I maybe wrong though.
The Kingpin is so expensive because it's been re designed for pure power and overclockability on sub zero cooling. On air there isn't much difference between the Kingpin and the Classified and some have even reported very poor oc's. I can't find the thread i was reading though to link but it was on the EVGA forum somewhere.

Yeah enit mate, I think the reason they just left the cooler un coloured is because the market they're aiming it will be removing it anyway. It will be nice to see how far it can be pushed though

One of the BSM lad's was going to buy one the other day as an upgrade from his 2 Gtx 560's but I talked him out of it as he doesn't oc or anything. he ended up going for the 780ti Classified.

I don't understand all your hatred for EVGA Ralph. I also don't think they are more expensive, yes the real special additions carry a premium but that's with everything in life.

Me and Steve both have EVGA Classified 780s and think they are an excellent card. They come with some higher grade parts than others but at the time of me buying mine it was no more expensive than any other non reference 780.

When I was looking on newegg yesterday for 780s and 770s for you after I saw you had ordered a 680 both the links I provided were of EVGA cards and they were actually among the cheapest I could find on Newegg.

I am not sure if you are not liking EVGA solely based on the crazy Kingpin edition which to be honest is not a normal GPU, but for regular models I really don't think that they are any more expensive than their competitors.

I've never owned an EVGA card but they must be good otherwise so many people wouldn't swear by them as a manufacturer. A lot of people will only buy EVGA card's so they must be doing something right.

Edit: I lied... The card in my daughters rig is an EVGA Gtx 460 and still plodding on

Just the stock card from either AMD or Nvidia with the standard cooler.

Reference one (These are released first and although they can all be different brands they will all look identical)



Non reference (All kinds of different coolers)

I notice the Kingpin 780 and other 780 Classified cards are a lot wider/taller than the mounting bracket.
