How do we fake or edit everything inside the system properties??

I've got a very cheeky question would like to ask about.

Are there any possible ways where we could possibly edit or change everything inside the System Properties by right clicking on My Computer Properties on the desktop??

I've tried something called the Fake Your Specs:

But that doesn't really apply to the Registration Entries, it only applied to show only!!

Are there any way we could do this?? So if we want we could turn them on and off any time.

Any ideas or advise of recommendations, please post up something with pictures if can, where we could see how this works and follow the steps and so forth.

PS: Always remember to have a option where users can switch back to the original defaults, otherwise we can only change but we cannot go back to normal defaults.

Exactly why would you want to do that? Do you have a spec that is wrong? Also, don't trust CNET DOWNLOADS! They do more bad than good!

Well i did anyway since i am on a mobile device with strict security features like pop up blocking that blocks even if i let it for example for notifications on SF.

I deleted every trace of it right after. But why does cnet news have to be so good but the downloads have to be so bad?

You shall be asking yourself why the reason is.

I thought there's people around changing taskbar buttons, colours, windows shadows, even make the impossible possible like customised the whole registries entries etc.

I assumed that I am doing similar things, except I am asking for how-to change the system properties to be able to edit it and look different.

It's all for my own personal purposes only. and that's it.

What wrong of changing it??

Changing certain computer properties might cause problems when installing software.

I've seen Windows 7 Service Pack 8. In fact, I've made that SP property modification myself; but only inside a virtual machine - where I could do no harm.

I don't know of any software that could safely do these mods for you. Be careful in your hunt for such tools.

Fellas, I am not here to post an argument on this threat about why fake the system properties, I am here to ask how to edit or change the system properties, please guys, just give us a help if can, other than that I am not interested.

Changing certain computer properties might cause problems when installing software.

I've seen Windows 7 Service Pack 8. In fact, I've made that SP property modification myself; but only inside a virtual machine - where I could do no harm.

I don't know of any software that could safely do these mods for you. Be careful in your hunt for such tools.

Well this is an open forum, so people are curious.

That being said, you may just have to wait a bit for someone to see your thread and possibly post something you are looking for.

There have been a few people visit these forums claiming to have W7 SP3. I wondered how they were seeing SP3 in their system properties - so I researched it.

Make a manual system restore point before working in the registry.

If you change much more than that, you could hose your entire computer. You really should look into experimenting inside a virtual machine where you can do no harm.

Bradley74 my post were not intended to be argumentative.
I was curious because I have never heard of such a thing.

Of course you can do as you see fit with your own computer. Many people change many things in their computers.

I personally won't guide someone to do anything to their computer if I think it may harm their computers. We try not to do that on this forum.
Changing system properties may very well harm your system in my opinion so I will leave it to other with more knowledge than I to give suggestions.

PS: We seldom see request like yours so some curiosity arose.

I do agreed with yous that change anything inside the system properties might causes unexpected harms or errors.

Certainly I totally understand your curiosity and I don't have anything to do to against to that. Not at all. Please don't think too much. I know you are kindly to help and just don't wish to see others getting harmed.

I am just in the hope of someone experienced enough to teach us on how to make those changes inside the system properties, and I believe that is not a impossible thing to do.

Lets wait and see if anyone does know how to. As I said before I am not in the rush of doing it, its just I found this and I thought I would love to give a try at least.

I think you'll find some of that information in the basebrd.dll.mui in C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd\en-US\ (you may have to substitute your country instead of en-US)
