Solved Accidentally formatted system reserved partition and window won't boot

Hi,

Let me explain what happened briefly.

When I tried to install my third OS in my laptop which is a linux base OS and I accidentally formatted system reserved partition and my second OS which is a linux base OS also. Since then, I can never boot window 7 professional 64bit which is my primary OS and my second OS. The laptop showed This not not a bootable drive and so on right after the flash bios.

Are there any solution that can help me out to restore the system reserved data? I have another hdd with window os but it is window 7 professional 32bit which is currently replacing this affected hdd.

I hope I don't have to use the final resource which is to format it as it contains important study materials and documents too.

Run startup repair.

Three times startup/repair as AddRam posted is the right solution. However you have to make sure that you have an active partition - either the system partition (which you might have deleted) or the C partition. Use the bootable CD of partition wizard for inspection and setting.

I would Mark C Partition Active
then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times.

If this fails, create a new Primary partition where the System Reserved partition was, mark it Active, then run 3 Repairs again.

If this fails, try to boot Win7 using GRUB from your Linux install.

Let me ask gregrocker, from your reply you mentioned if your first two solutions do not work I should try to boot window using GRUB of the linux. Well apparently I didn't install my third OS successfully and for my another linux OS it is now screwed up same with the window. I tried to install my third OS which is Kali Linux in my usb hdd but failed.

And does that means if i skip the first two solutions and use your third solution and assume that I have a linux works too? Will this install back whatever data in the system reserved partition? Can I do this will a bootable linux pendrive? By the way, I am very new to linux still. I apologize if I cause you guys any problem.

What were the results of the first two suggested repairs which would normally resolve your problem?

I tried the two solutions but still not working. Sorry as this is my first time doing this.

I did it this way, I have a working hdd in the laptop which can boot and run and connect the affected hdd with an USB enclosure. I insert the cd before that and restart. Press F8 and choose run system repair but it showed no error. For this I put the boot priority to boot internal hdd as second and the usb hdd as third. Cd rom as the first.

I did it another way which the screen right away shows "Boot Mgr missing". For this case, I put the boot priority cd rom as first, usb hdd as second and internal hdd as third.

Did i do something wrong here? Sorry, beginner here

The steps I gave you couldn't be more specific. Where does it say anything about connecting the drive in an enclosure to another Win7 laptop? The repairs couldn't possibly work in another PC. You were to boot the installation media or System Repair Disk into System Recovery Options to run the repairs.

Yes, I did it.

I marked the empty partition where the previous system reserved was as active.

Then, I put it back to the laptop and boot the window cd and select repair.

It is now back online.
