Also trying IObit 360 out on my system now. I've got Vipre Anti Virus running, along with ThreatFire and now IObit and all seem to be working well together.

If anyone else is interested, it is freeware:

*Note there is a Pro version with automatic updates, scheduled scans, etc.

It's anti malware - not anti virus. No problems running it with Vipre and ThreatFire.

Edit: For me, I see it like this:

Vipre: Anti virus and anti spyware.
IObit: Anti malware
ThreatFire: HIPS

Seems to work quite well...:D

Well, the only thing that changed on my system was IObit, and I had numerous times where things went pretty wonky here, including leaving my system on last night and when I turned on the monitor today, I could do nothing. Task Manager wouldn't start, couldn't restart from the menu, nothing. Had to do a hard reboot.

With that being said, IObit is gone. Not sure if it was their app or the combination, but I had no issues before with Vipre and TF running together at ll, so that's what I'm going back to.

Just a heads up to those that might try IObit.

I installed iobit 360 with vipre. however, when i installed threatfire alongwith these two, my pc was messed up. Just like you, i could not do anything. had to do a hard reboot and uninstalled threatfire... Also, when i tried malwarebytes with vipre, everything stucks and i had to do a hard reboot and uninstalled mbam to get things working. (I m talking about real-time protection in mbam.)
For now, i have iobit and vipre. Iobit 360 is very light on resources and detections are very high... :)

When TF gets the Firefox issue resolved though, are you going to try it again?

I like TF because it is very light (look at system resources - it's lighter than IObit 360) and it's free and updates automatically. IObit does not upate automatically in the free version, you have to update manually. It could be too late then...;)

I have posted the firefox issue in pctools forum and the developer said they know about it and will be fixed by the final release. Then i will surely use threatfire.

Yeah, I saw your post over there...;)

I thought I would try the same. Unloaded TF and going with IObit 360 for a bit. Let's see how it does. I think I like testing these things more than anything else. Gives me something to do...:)

The only problem I have with IObit so far over TF is it does indeed take up a bit more RAM than TF did and the one major thing that bothers me is I was away from the system for a while yesterday, I came back, turned on the monitor and the update manager was sitting there waiting for me to update for IObit. Yes, I know I can buy the Pro version for updates to happen automatically, but TF updates for free. Just not sure I want to spend more money on this stuff and it bothered me that it was just sitting there, not updating, waiting for me to do so.

It's actually around 14 MB. TF was always around 4 MB overall. It's not that big a deal, but it is more than TF. ;)

As well, it doesn't take long, but my point is TF updates automatically, I have to do the update for IObit. If I'm not at the computer, I can't do it now can I? It just sits there waiting for me to do it, until I am back and can manually do it.

The 3rd process comes up if you have the Iobit 360 window open. When idle it just has 2 processes running. Anyways, if ypu are satisfied using TF, its good.

Nope, window was not open. Just checked again, window closed. Just the icon in the system tray.

Oh, and just for the sake of argument, this isn't really about which one is better, just comparing the two for anyone who is interested in either one. The thread is basically about IObit, but the differences between the two as well.
