Disable Windows 7 firewall service

Hi

I am using a third party firewall and would like to know if I can disable windows 7 firewall?

I notice some problem when I do turn it off though..

I can't use a remote access program, when I disable it...

I use an app called Splashtop for streaming my desktop to my tablet etc..

for some reason it would still use the port rules in windows 7 firewall even though it is disable?

How can I disable windows 7 firewall and still allow the remote access program to work?

Perhaps you could go to windows firewall (in control panel) and click..restore defaults.

oh btw.. also in system properties.. turn remote access off and then turn it on again. (strangely this works)

Sorry I should be more clear, I am not referring to windows remote access..

If I disable Windows firewall, it would not let the app stream, ie blocks the port.. even though the firewall service is disabled..

How can this be???

Right click the task bar and click on Task Manager. Select the Services tab and see if MpsSvc is running. If it is reboot.
