I honestly can't believe you never wore one. Greg, you should be ashamed of yourself. I believe I wore it for 2 months or so. It is the Right of Passage, and you should wear it, as everyone else did, or forfeit the Gold badge. It is a requirement. I just can't believe it.

It's just a fun tradition Greg, regardless of what the FNG stands for to some people.

I remember one guy left the forum after it was suggested he wear the FNG badge, I guess he just didn't like the meaning it held for him.

I think the general consensus on the meaning in this thread is "Fine New Goldmember".

I just didn't see why you had to say it like you did, suggesting that everyone that was playing along was "Falling for something".

Same here, you felt honoured when you reached that Gold, then Tom would come along and offer you the goat reindeer or cherry to wear and that was the icing on the cake.

I edited your post, Joan, you had made a typo and written "goat" when you clearly mean reindeer .

Wondered how you missed it? You have been afforded an opportunity that very few people in the World are offered. A second chance. And, you have only been offered that by the esteemed and highly regarded Tews. He has done this out of his great kindness and his respect to you. Yet, you refuse to take him up on an offer I have never seen before in all my time on Seven Forums. As you so often point out, Seven Forums is a great organization. Like all great organizations, there is a rite of passage here, that affords you a great opportunity. I am sure that Tews is disappointed that his great generosity has been soundly rebuked. I too am disappointed that you would not accept this honor bestowed on you and wear this most coveted badge, like every one of us have proudly worn. I must say, this is a very sad day for Seven Forums.
