Windows 7, FF v26. If i have a browser open and click a link that either opens in a new window by default or i right click the link and "open in new window, either way the new window opens and i am reading it then within a few seconds the original window takes focus again. Is there an about:config setting i can change to remedy this?

Tried disabling all addons but still does it.

That is not the same as using Fx safe mode; from a standard post on the subject in mozillaZine:

>What safe-mode does
Safe Mode temporarily affects the following:
* All extensions are disabled.
* The default theme is used, without a persona.
* The Just-in-time (JIT) JavaScript compiler is disabled.
* The userChrome.css and userContent.css files are ignored.
* The default toolbar layout is used.
* Hardware acceleration is disabled.

-- Safe Mode has no effect on the following --
* The status of plugins is not affected.
* Custom preferences are not affected.

I had exactly the same problem and it was driving me nuts :mad:. Here is how to fix it:
1. Open the folder
Windows 32bit: C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash
Windows 64bit: C:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash
2. Locate mms.cfg and open it with notepad
3. Add the following line: ProtectedMode=0
4. Save and close.
5. Enjoy ;)
