How did you log on yesterday?

I don't think so. You can even find a password resetting tutorial on the tutorial section- http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/85657-password-reset.html

However i would suggest using "Trinity Rescue Kit" which is easier.

Download link : Trinity Rescue Kit | CPR for your computer

Video guide : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsV4mzurr6U]]

This looks cool. Does it handle W8 UEFI secure boot etc..?

Edit: I found this blog and it makes me think W8 changes everything.

The thread says it all

You log on with one of your other administrator accounts and remove the password.

Okay, sorry. That was partly in jest. Personally I have 5 user accounts on my machine, 4 of which are admins. I store the passwords on a piece of paper (you'd be surprised how secure that is!).

Barring that, you should be able to create a new user from the install disks if you still have them, by (unfortunately) re-installing with the "repair" option. If memory serves, you can create a user during the installation process.

I could be wrong though ...
